Water in the bottle

An old factory building in London Soho is keeping a secret, a collection of publicly donated water. Hundreds of bottles, each accompanied by a personal story are part of the Museum of Water.

The collection of over 700 bottles carefully preserved to keep the memory is a brainchild of artist Amy Sharrocks. There is holy river water from India and 20-year-old evaporated snow from Maine, a newborn baby’s bath water and a melted snowman from someone’s backyard, there is even water from a bedside table said to be infused with dreams.

We usually take it for granted, as it is just water, you open a tap and it is there. But we keep forgetting more than half of us are the simple H2O molecules we would not survive without.
