To lower chemical overload in daily beaty routine look for the dirty dozen:

  1. Parabens
  2. Petrolatum
  3. Formaldehyde (DMDM hydantoin, diazolidinyl urea, imidazolidinyl urea, methenamine and quarternium-15)
  4. Phtalates (Synthetic fragrance, Phthalates lead compounds, Parfum and Dibutyl Phthalate)
  5. BHA & BHT (butylated hydroxyanisole and butylated hydroxytoluene)
  6. DEA & MEA and TEA (Diethanolamine & quaternium-15)
  7. SLS & SLES (Sodium laurel sulfate)
  8. PEG  (Propylene Glycol and Polyoxyl 40 Stearate)
  9. “CI” or coal tar dyes (p-phenylenediamine, Toluene, Hydroquinone and Phenol carbolic acid)
  10. Oxybenzone & OMC (Octylmethoxycinnamate & Ureas)
  11. Triclosan & Dioxane
  12. Siloxanes (anything ending with ‘Siloxanesor methicone”)
