New tricks against digital pick pocketing

December 22, 2014

Over 10 million identities are being stolen by digital means every year. As credit cards are the most vulnerable to such attacks, a technology company has come up with a solution to prevent digital pick pocketing.

Betabrand developed jeans and blazer with a special lining that prevent thieves from stealing the data. Payment cards use radio frequency identification chips that the right equipment can easily intercept in an instant, even from a safe distance of up to 30 feet (10m). The new hack proof clothes are designed to keep users’ digital information safe by blocking all frequencies and protecting wearers from wireless attacks.

If you do not want to spend money on high tech protective clothes, keep in mind wrapping your card or a wallet in several layers of tin foil will give you the same results.
