The fluffy feathers and haute couture trainers

January 22, 2014

Haute couture remains something extremely rare. Entirely made by hand, it allows designers to use vanishing techniques, too time consuming for everyday fashion. But couture shows are also a great advertising tools, selling branded goods like perfumes, sunglasses and accessories.

This year Chanel collection was created by Karl Lagerfeld. At the Paris Fashion Week, elaborately handcrafted dresses with flowers embroidered on ostrich feathers were put on display, all combined with haute couture trainers. In contrast with other haute couture dresses, Chanel looks light, loose and easy to wear.
