A tee that does not stain

January 21, 2014

A t-shirt that does not stain, Silic is a new invention made of a fabric that resists everything from ketchup to coffee and even red wine. According to inventors the material repels water and water-based liquids, which simply roll off the shirt and never even touch the actual fibers.

Silic contains hydrophobic nanotechnology on the microscopic level. Billions of silica particles coat the shirt, but still allow it to remain flexible and comfortable. Its creators claim the technology is safe and not cancerous like some other water-proof technologies. Since you can wash it for 80 times, its properties should last a year and a half. For now shirts are available in black or white on Kickstarter.
