What could possibly join Deepak Chopra with Agent Provocateur? The answer is Seven Bar Foundation empowering women via microfinance.

This is not the first microfinance foundation helping females out of poverty and into business. However, it is the first one promoting their message through luxury lingerie shows in New York, Miami, London, and Paris. The shows are hosted by world’s top celebrities, like Eva Longoria and bring together finest lingerie brands Atsuko Kudo, Agent Provocateur, Fifi Chachnil and Carine Gilson.

Seven Bar Foundation says, they are providing a hand-up, not a hand-out. That fully illustrates the idea behind small loans. Being dedicated solely to women, to start small businesses and enabling them to become independent, they also elevate their families from poverty. One single figure says it all and it is a banker’s dream: the global repayment rate amounts to astonishing 97%.

The sexiest thing in high fashion lingerie is… wait for it… microfinance.  wrote Wall Street Journal
