Equal Pay Day in Slovenia?

March 21, 2011

First European Equal Pay Day happened this year, on March 5. The date was not randomly chosen. To match the amount a man earns in one year, average woman in European Union would have to work two months extra. Each following European country’s Equal Pay Day is linked to the national pay gap. Therefore Spain marks its Equal Pay Day on February 22, Greece on March 16, Germany and Belgium on March 25, Poland and Estonia on April 12, Austria on April 13, France on April 15, UK on November 4.

What about us? Following statistic data, the Equal Pay Day in Slovenia would take place on February 2. If we had one.
